Magic Kingdom Attractions Guide: Every Ride and Show, Rated by Land
- TRON Lightcycle / Run is the top-rated ride – rope drop it if you're not buying a Single Pass

- The PeopleMover and Mickey's PhilharMagic are relaxing picks that are more fun than expected

Magic Kingdom has more attractions than any other Disney World theme park. (Overall it leans toward kid-friendly rides, so it’s not my personal favorite!) Iconic Cinderella Castle stands in the middle of the park, and at night there’s a spectacular fireworks show. You can also meet Disney characters in person through the Character Experiences. If you’re visiting with young children in particular, this is the place to make memories that will last a lifetime.
Below are Magic Kingdom’s attractions, land by land. I’ve sorted them into four types and added my own star rating ⭐️ as a self-proclaimed ride fanatic:
- 🌠 Thrill ride – rides with real thrills
- 🐌 Slow ride – rides that move slowly
- 🎭 Show – attractions you watch sitting in a theater
- 🤩 Character experience – where you can meet Disney characters
Plus:
- 💧 marks attractions where you might get a little wet.
- 💫 marks attractions included in Lightning Lane Multi Pass, the paid line-skipping option.

🏫 Main Street, U.S.A.
This is where you’ll find lots of shops and the place to meet Mickey. The parades start in Adventureland, pass the castle and run down Main Street, so I’ve listed them here.
-
Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade / 🎭 Show A procession of Pixar characters. It isn’t as long as a regular parade.
-
Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade / 🎭 Show A daytime parade where you can see lots of different characters.
-
Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away / 🎭 Show The time changes, but this parade usually starts around 7 p.m. after sunset. It’s a parade decked out in neon lights.
-
Meet Mickey at Town Square Theater / 🤩 Character experience A character meet where you can see Disney’s star, Mickey Mouse.
-
Walt Disney World Railroad / 🐌 Slow ride / ⭐ A train connecting Main Street, Fantasyland and Frontierland. Disney founder Walt Disney loved trains so much – but couldn’t build one at home – so he put one in the park, the story goes. As of October 2025, the Frontierland side of the river had closed to make way for another attraction, so the train currently runs only between Main Street and Fantasyland. If walking is hard for you, take the train.
🪐 Tomorrowland
A futuristic, space-themed land. Sparkling neon lights and a future-city backdrop give it a different charm by day and by night.
-
TRON Lightcycle / Run / 🌠 Thrill ride / ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Magic Kingdom’s newest headline attraction! You race through a futuristic city on a motorbike-style roller coaster. The sense of speed and the smoothness are outstanding. There’s also one at Shanghai Disneyland, but it’s so popular here that the wait is long. If you’re not buying a paid Lightning Lane Single Pass, I strongly recommend heading there right at opening (rope drop)!
-
💫 Space Mountain / 🌠 Thrill ride / ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A roller coaster that races through the dark at high speed. Because you can’t see what’s ahead, the thrill is even bigger.
-
Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover / 🐌 Slow ride / ⭐⭐⭐ A slow-moving, monorail-like vehicle that tours all of Tomorrowland. It’s a great chance to rest and feel a cool breeze, and you get a view of the castle along the way. I rode it twice, once in the morning and once in the evening, and the atmosphere was completely different each time – highly recommended.
-
Tomorrowland Speedway / 🐌 Slow ride / ⭐ A ride where you drive a car yourself along a guide track. Little kids can take the wheel too, so it’s popular with younger guests.
-
💫 Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin / 🐌 Slow ride / ⭐ A Buzz Lightyear shooting ride where you compete for points by hitting targets with a laser blaster. As of October 2025 it was being refurbished.
-
💫 Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor / 🎭 Show A live comedy show where the Monsters, Inc. characters improvise jokes with the audience from the stage. (My English isn’t great, so I skipped it…)
🧚♀️ Fantasyland
A space that feels like a fairy tale brought to life.
-
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train / 🌠 Thrill ride / ⭐⭐⭐ A Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs roller coaster where you race along in a mine train. It isn’t hugely thrilling – more like the coasters I rode as a kid – but the themed details along the way are fun to look at.
-
💫 Under the Sea – Journey of The Little Mermaid / 🐌 Slow ride / ⭐⭐ A Little Mermaid ride where you sit in a clamshell vehicle and follow Ariel’s story, recreated with animatronics. It moves slowly, so it’s a nice break too.
-
💫 The Barnstormer / 🐌 Slow ride / ⭐⭐ A short roller coaster starring Goofy as a circus stunt pilot. It’s the perfect “starter coaster” for kids riding their first one.
-
💫 Dumbo the Flying Elephant / 🐌 Slow ride / ⭐ A spinning flying ride based on the classic Disney animated film Dumbo.
-
💫 Mad Tea Party / 🐌 Slow ride / ⭐ A spinning ride where you turn the Alice in Wonderland teacups yourself.
-
Enchanted Tales with Belle / 🤩 Character experience A Beauty and the Beast experience where Belle appears in person, talks with guests and puts on a little play with them. (I skipped it because of my English…)
-
Meet Ariel at Her Grotto / 🤩 Character experience Meet Ariel, the Little Mermaid, in a cave-like grotto.
-
Meet Daring Disney Pals as Circus Stars / 🤩 Character experience Inside a circus-tent-style space there were two lines: Daisy & Minnie Mouse, and Donald Duck & Goofy. Pick a line and you can meet two characters.
-
Meet Peter Pan in Fantasyland / 🤩 Character experience Meet Peter Pan.
-
Meet Winnie the Pooh and Tigger at The Thotful Spot / 🤩 Character experience Meet Pooh and Tigger.
🕋 Liberty Square
-
💫 Peter Pan’s Flight / 🐌 Slow ride / ⭐⭐⭐ You board a flying pirate ship and follow the story of Peter Pan. It’s a gentle kids’ ride, but floating through the sky in a pirate ship is surprisingly fun.
-
💫 “it’s a small world” / 🐌 Slow ride / ⭐⭐ A boat ride past dolls wearing traditional costumes from around the world. It’s like the old doll-house ride at Everland, so it might feel a bit tame, but enjoy the small fun of spotting the doll in Korean traditional dress.
-
💫 Haunted Mansion / 🐌 Slow ride / ⭐⭐ You enter a house full of ghosts and slowly look around. It’s not scary, but it’s Disney’s only horror-themed attraction.
-
💫 Mickey’s PhilharMagic / 🎭 Show / ⭐⭐⭐ You watch a 3D film in a large theater. It’s a madcap story with cute characters, plus scent and water-mist effects – surprisingly fun. Recommended.
🧿 Adventureland
A land themed to jungles and adventure.
-
💫 The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh / 🐌 Slow ride / ⭐⭐ You ride a slow-moving honey pot into Pooh’s story. The queue is decorated in such a cute, fun way that I actually enjoyed the wait.
-
💫 The Magic Carpets of Aladdin / 🐌 Slow ride / ⭐ A spinning ride themed to Aladdin’s magic carpet.
-
💫 Pirates of the Caribbean / 🐌 Slow ride / ⭐⭐⭐ One of Disney’s signature attractions – the original that inspired the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. You sail past a pirate port; try to spot the animatronic with Jack Sparrow’s face!
-
💫 Jungle Cruise / 🐌 Slow ride / ⭐⭐ A river-boat cruise through the jungle. You’re looking at fake animals, so it could be disappointing, but the skipper’s humorous spiel is the real charm.
-
Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress / 🎭 Show / ⭐ A classic attraction in a rotating theater. It’s a four-act show depicting how the American home has developed through the decades.
-
Meet Characters from Aladdin / 🤩 Character experience Depending on the time, you can meet either Aladdin & Abu or Jasmine & Genie.
👒 Frontierland
A land themed to the American frontier.
-
💫 Tiana’s Bayou Adventure / 🌠 Thrill ride / ⭐⭐⭐⭐ / 💧 A log-flume ride themed to Disney’s The Princess and the Frog. You head out by boat through the bayou with Princess Tiana to recruit a band, and at the end there’s a refreshing splashdown drop like a classic flume ride. The water is pretty strong, so your clothes will get a bit wet!
-
💫 Big Thunder Mountain Railroad / 🌠 Thrill ride / ⭐⭐⭐ A roller coaster racing through a mine. It isn’t fast, but it has lots of curves and side-to-side jolts, so it’s more thrilling than you’d expect. It was being refurbished as of October 2025, so I didn’t get to ride it.
-
Country Bear Jamboree / 🎭 Show / ⭐ A cute show where bears sing and play music. It’s an old classic, so it feels a bit dated, but it’s a good place to cool off when you need a break.
That wraps up the attractions at Magic Kingdom. Next up is my post introducing the attractions at EPCOT.
