Today I’m sharing my visit to Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World ✨
I’ve laid everything out in the exact order and at the times I actually rode. (For reference, I bought Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass and used the paid passes throughout the day.)
Visit date: October 1, 2025 Weather: Sunny
8:20 Shuttle to Magic Kingdom
The fatigue from the previous park days had really built up, and I wasn’t expecting that much from the Magic Kingdom rides, so I slept in a little and took a later shuttle.
9:00 Photos at the Entrance and Cinderella Castle
After about 20 minutes on the shuttle, we finally arrived at Magic Kingdom! As always, the first thing we did was take photos at the entrance.

Right after entering, there were tons of people along Main Street, U.S.A. trying to get a photo in front of Cinderella Castle. If you’re using PhotoPass, skip the busy spots near the entrance and walk a bit further in to find a photographer with a shorter line. The line is shorter and the castle looks much bigger, so the photos come out a lot better.

9:20 Meeting Cinderella
We had some time before our first Multi Pass return window, so we stopped by the princess meet-and-greet right nearby.

Besides Cinderella, a different princess appears each time. In my case, Snow White unexpectedly showed up as Cinderella’s friend, so I got a photo with her too (what a bonus!).

Unlike the costumed characters, the princesses actually talk with you in character, so feel free to have a little chat in English.
9:50 #1 The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (Multi Pass) This ride feels like stepping into a storybook. The queue is adorably decorated, and although it’s aimed at kids, adults will enjoy it too.
10:00 #2 The Little Mermaid (Multi Pass)
Next, we headed to the Little Mermaid ride a bit further up. The storyline flows nicely, and the moving Ariel figure was impressive.

10:20 Meeting Donald Duck

We still had time before our Single Pass reservation, so we went into the character meet-and-greet area further inside.

There were separate lines for Donald Duck & Goofy and for Daisy & Minnie. We went with Donald & Goofy since that line was shorter.

11:00 #3 Seven Dwarfs Mine Train (Single Pass)

A roller coaster themed around the dwarfs’ mine. It’s not super intense, but it’s one of the newer attractions, so it’s popular.
11:10 #4 Mickey’s PhilharMagic (Single Pass) I assumed Mickey would be the star, but it’s actually Donald Duck who takes the lead in this 3D film attraction. It’s full of fun effects, and it’s perfect for taking a short break from the heat.

11:50 #5 “it’s a small world” (Multi Pass)

A boat ride packed with dolls. Dolls themed after many different countries and cultures appear along the way, and it’s fun to take it all in slowly.

12:30 Lunch at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe
We had a table-service restaurant booked for dinner, so we kept lunch light at a quick-service spot. The food was good, and there was plenty of indoor seating. Here’s what we ordered, which came to $67.85 in total:
- Nacho Bowl
- Southwest Caesar Salad
- Rice Bowl
- Mini Churros
- Strawberry Limeade Slush
(Definitely try the mini churros. They’re delicious!)

13:30 #6 Tiana’s Bayou Adventure (Multi Pass)

This is a flume ride. There’s a splash section at the end, so you may get a little wet.
14:00 Watching the Festival of Fantasy Parade
The daytime parade features lots of characters and beautifully decorated floats. In the Orlando heat during the day, finding a shady spot is key. I’ll cover the best parade viewing spots separately in my tips post below!
14:40 #7 PeopleMover
This attraction is themed around a futuristic transportation system dreamed up by Walt Disney himself. It moves at a decent pace and takes you on a loop around Tomorrowland, and there’s a stretch with a view of Cinderella Castle, so I highly recommend riding it at least once.

15:30 Meeting Mickey
Magic Kingdom is so crowded that character meet-and-greet waits were usually 45 minutes or more. At this point, though, it was only about 25 minutes, so we hurried over.

Mickey’s room is beautifully decorated, and Mickey appears dressed as a magician. I loved the cute detail of his outfits being stored like they’re in suitcases.
15:40 Café Break and Shopping

It was so hot and we needed a rest, so we popped into Starbucks. The coffee was good, but there was nowhere to sit, so we couldn’t really rest. I’d recommend finding a café with seating ahead of time.
17:00 #8 Peter Pan’s Flight (Multi Pass) You board a Peter Pan ship and set off into the storybook world. With Tinker Bell’s pixie dust, it really feels like you’re floating through the sky. So much fun.

17:25 Dinner at Be Our Guest Restaurant

This is one of Magic Kingdom’s signature table-service restaurants. We chose the room themed after the Beauty and the Beast ballroom. It can be crowded and noisy, so if you’d like a quieter meal, I recommend the room themed after the Beast’s chamber. After finishing our meal, we also received a card signed by the Beast. I’ll write a separate review of this restaurant in another post!

19:00 #9 TRON Lightcycle / Run (Single Pass)
This is one of the most popular newer attractions at Magic Kingdom. It has its own lockers: you can only put your phone and your locker ticket (your park ticket) in the small storage compartment at the front of the ride vehicle, and everything else has to go in a locker before you ride.
After the ride, you pick up your belongings from the lockers on the opposite side, so be sure to remember your ticket and locker number!

20:30 Watching the Starlight Parade
We went to find a spot in front of Cinderella Castle about 30 minutes before the parade started, and the crowds were enormous. Because of the huge crowd, we ended up having to settle for a spot on the outer edge of Main Street. I think you need to arrive at least an hour early to get a good spot.
21:00 Fireworks
We wrapped up the day with the gorgeous fireworks show that followed the parade.

Our Multi Pass return times got a bit tangled this day, so it was a pretty exhausting day of running back and forth. I’d heard that the Beast only appears at Be Our Guest during dinner, so I booked dinner, but after visiting I found out he appears at both lunch and dinner. So if you’re going, I’d suggest booking Be Our Guest for lunch and then, from 7 p.m. onward, claiming a spot near Cinderella Castle. Seriously, the crowds are no joke…
